Charles Jack Shannon

Charles “Jack” Shannon, 75, a resident of Birchwood, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at a local hospital. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and always considered himself a farmer. He was a member of the local 846 Laborers Union, and was also a member of the Free Masons. Jack’s favorite thing to do was spending time with his family whom he loved most of all. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his former wife, Stella Mae Shannon; parents Charlie and Lula Belle Shannon; sister, Anna Lou Parris; brothers, James Massengale and John Shannon.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his Godly wife, Becky Shannon, children, Debra Shelton (David), Charles J Shannon Jr. (Debbie), Tom Shannon (Sarah), Greg Shannon (Cyndi); grandchildren, Amber Wallace (Dewayne), Zac, Jake, Bekah, Luke, Nick, Briley Denton (Haley), Deandre, Devantae, Destiny, and Savannah; 1 great grandson, Caleb; siblings, Paul Shannon, Bill Shannon, Martha Johnson, and Richard Beavers.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 1, 2019 from 4-8pm at First Baptist Church Georgetown: 8212 TN-60, Georgetown, TN 37336. The celebration of life service will be held at 10am Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Church. Interment will be at McInturff Cemetery in Meigs County. Pastor Rick Harmon will Be officiating the service.
