Charles Brent Jones

Charles Brent Jones (49), of Lamontville, Tennessee passed away on February 27, 2023 at Tennova Hospital in Cleveland, Tennessee. Charles Brent Jones, fondly known as Brent, was born to Charles Jones and Kathy Long, on October 30, 1973, in Cleveland, Tennessee. Brent was a graduate of McMinn County Highschool, class of 1992. He was passionate about the sport of drag racing, often spending much of his time going to the track on weekends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working outdoors with his friends and family. He often enjoyed trout fishing in the Tellico River and hunting neighboring lands with friends and family.

Brent is survived by his parents, Charles and Elaine Jones, Kathy and Donnie Long. He is also survived by: fiancé Monika Newell, Son Tyler and Haley Jones, siblings Lisa and David Brammer, Andy and Joella Jones, Autumn and Rick Skelley, Anthony Long, Rhonda Pilkey, Amanda Shelton, David and April Fugate, niece and nephew Jennifer Berry and Tyson Farmer, Grandchildren McKinley Jones, Cason Jones, Silas Markcloud.

Aside from his passion for racing, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, Brent was passionate about giving to the local community. He would spend much of his time going to see friends and family in the local community. He enjoyed spending time and spoiling his grandchildren any chance he had. He was always the entertainment at any gathering that he was a part of, by making jokes and telling stories, to help light up the room.

Brent’s family will receive friends on March 3, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with Funeral and graveside services to follow. The service will be held at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland with Pastor Travis Torbett officiating.
