Carolyn Wilson

Carolyn Gardner Wilson Martin of East Brainerd died January 3. She was 92.

The daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Frank L. Gardner, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ruben W. Wilson, and her husband of six years, Chester Martin, siblings, Mrs. Imogene Jones, Leslie Gardner, Frank Gardner and Dorsey Gardner.

She is survived by her son, David Gardner Wilson and his wife, Sheila, grandchildren, Mitchell Wilson and Beth Anne Biddle, twelve great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Raised in East Lake and a 1945 graduate of Chattanooga Central High School, Carolyn lived in Dry Valley and Flintstone most of her adult life and for many years was an active member of the Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church. She retired from the Purchasing Department of Covenant College in 1994. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Chattanooga. Graveside service will be at National Cemetery on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Brad Whitaker officiating.
