Carolyn J. Carter

Carolyn J. Carter, 71, of Cleveland, TN passed away on June 16, 2016. She was born on September 21, 1944 to the late Charles S. Pennington and Eunice Moore Pennington. Carolyn was a member of Peerless Road Church and very active in the church as a hostess for over forty years.
In addition to her mother and father, Carolyn is preceded in death by her brother Jackie B. Pennington.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Richard Carter; daughters Ronda Carter Flowers (Billy) and Adana Hudgins; sister Sharon Carlton (Daniel); grandchildren: Ronnie Flowers, Carter Flowers, Ryan Flowers, Jaden Wade, and Dalen Carter; nephew Nathaniel Carlton (Jennifer). In addition to these, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday June 20, 2016 at Peerless Road Church located at 3301 Peerless Road, Cleveland, TN 37312. Interment will follow the service at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30pm. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the church on Sunday June 19, 2016.
