Carla Jean Gates

Carla Jean Gates, 58, of Cohutta, GA passed away on June 20, 2020. She was born on April 28, 1962 in Plattsburgh, NY. Carla loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed swimming and boating and being outside. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother Rosemarie Jones and sister Cathy Phillips.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her father Frank Jones of Plattsburgh, NY; spouse Troy Gates of 20 years; children: Dori Reagan (Kenny), Lisa Powell (Wes), Ashley Silvers (Brandon), Michelle Strickland, Brittney Gates, and Briley Brown; sister Jeannie Jabaut of Plattsburgh, NY; grandchildren: Tyler, Stephanie, Haley, Drake, Kaden, Landon, Breanna, Johnny, Tucker, Ashlinn “LuLu”, Levi, and Hunter. In addition to these she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 24, 2020 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
