Carl Emerson Bearfield

Carl Emerson Bearfield, 84, of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 11, 2016. He was born on June 17, 1931 to the late William Bearfield and Bertha Verner. Carl was a lifelong resident of this area and of the Christian faith. He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean War with the 278 infantry. He loved camping, deep sea fishing, and spending time with his family on the front porch swing.

In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by one brother Arliss Bearfield.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 51 years, Wilma Bearfield; five daughters: Lena Price (Dennis), Cindy Lawson (Bart), Kim Bryan (David), Brenda Thurman, and Carlena Mitchell; son Carl Eugene Bearfield; brother Roy Verner; sisters Lois Sparks, Brenda Raper, and Mary Green; grandchildren Tasha Day, Elijah Lawson, Cody Lawson, Halley Forester, Kaitlyn Burger, Hannah Burger; great grandchildren Kiley Day, Emily Day, Allyson Day.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday July 14, 2016 at Lands Chapel located at 151 County Road 478, Englewood, TN 37329 with Pastor Doyle Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow the service on Thursday in the church cemetery. Dennis Price, Bart Lawson, Elijah Lawson, Cody Lawson, Adam Day, and David Bryan will be serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
