Carl David Harden

Obituary

Carl David Harden, 78, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Sunday October 19, 2014 at his home peacefully, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 3, 1936 to the late Fred and Cleo Harden. Carl had been a Cleveland resident for 58 years. He enjoyed woodworking and watching the Atlanta Braves. Above all things, however, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his first born son Ricky David Harden; three sisters: Imogene Crumley, Frances Leamon, Louise Landers; three brothers: Ralph Harden, Wallace Harden, and Herman Harden.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 61 years, Nell Lee Harden; five children: Don Harden (Chantel), Marilyn Gibson (Rick), Randy Harden (Whitney), Renee Harden, and Jeff Harden; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marie Leamon and Betty Julian; special friend: Marvin Buckner; in addition to these, he leaves behind several other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 8:00pm on Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Bancroft Church of God located at 180 Bancroft Road, McDonald, TN 37353. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the church before the service. Interment will be held on Thursday October 23, 2014 at 11:00am at Earls Cemetery.
