Carl A. Stinnett

Obituary
Carl A. Stinnett, 71, of Benton, TN passed away on Saturday afternoon February 28, 2015 in a local hospital. He was born on October 25, 1943 to the late W.A. Armpy Stinnett and Mildred A. Stinnett. Carl was an avid mandolin player who loved playing bluegrass music and also loved bowling. Above all things, however, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by one sister Ruth Powers and one brother Alvin Stinnett.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of fifty years, Linda Stinnett; three children: Cindy Fansler (Les), Tim Stinnett (Patti), Stan Stinnett (Angie); three brothers: Guinn Stinnett (Brenda), Ray Teet Stinnett, Jerry Stinnett, two sister: Edith Jones (Willard), Lucy Stinnett (Joe); fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday March 4, 2015 at Mountainview Baptist Church in Benton, TN with Rev. Pete Morgan and Rev. Charles Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday March 3, 2015 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and on Wednesday from 11:00am until the 12:00pm service time. Interment will follow the service at Old Ocoee Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society located at PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123-1718.
