Bonnie Turner Cox

October 24, 1953 — November 2, 2019

Bonnie Turner Cox, age 66, of Chattanooga, TN, passed peacefully in her sleep after losing her battle with Alzheimer’s disease on Saturday, November 2, 2019.

Bonnie was born on October 24, 1953, in Fort Bragg, NC to John Carl and Charlotte Turner. She graduated from Tyner High School in 1971. Bonnie was a long-time member at Concord Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. In recent years, Bonnie most enjoyed taking long walks with her most loyal companion, Lola, a Bichon Frise.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Carl and Charlotte Turner; and her infant siblings, Stephen and Michael. She is survived by her children, April (Keith) Maynard, and Lee (Andrea) Cox; her grandchildren, Katie (Will) Reed, Abbie Maynard, Kimmie Maynard, Ben Cox, Emma Cox, Katie Krauss, and Jane Cox; her siblings, Andy Turner, Cindy Brandon, and Danny Turner; many loved nieces and nephews, and special friends, Gary and Teresa Edmondson.

Visitation will be from 12:30-2:30 PM, followed by a service at 2:30 PM at Concord Baptist Church Chattanooga, TN, on Thursday, November 7, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Chattanooga.

We are comforted knowing that Bonnie is now in heaven, with all of her memories.
