Bobby Wayne Rogers

Bobby Wayne Rogers, 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away unexpectedly on April 14th, 2020. He was born March 26, 1953 in Bradley County to the late Edward Rogers and Elizabeth Smith Rogers. He was a 1971 graduate of Bradley Central High School. He spent the entirety of his career working for Cleveland Utilities, from where he retired in 2015, after 42 years.

Bobby was a member of Black Fox United Methodist Church and he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his wife and daughters. Of the pastimes Bobby enjoyed, some of his favorites were watching Braves baseball and Falcons football, taking his boat out on the water to go fishing, riding his bicycle, watching and discussing movies, bowling, playing goony golf, riding through the mountains, going on vacations with his family and helping out anywhere he was able.

A loving husband, father, brother, and uncle, Bobby is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carolyn Moore Rogers; Daughters: Lindsay Rogers, Jennifer Rogers, and Stacey Rogers Torbett and her husband Todd Torbett; Brothers and Sister: James Rogers and his wife Diane, Donald Rogers and his wife Carlene, Lorrie Rogers Duke and her husband Billy; Nephews and Nieces: Jason Rogers, Josh Rogers and his wife Julie, Jeremy Rogers and his wife Stephanie, Travis Duke, and Emily Duke; Uncles and Aunts; Roy Smith and his wife Lib, Ellen Jean Rogers McSpadden, and Martha Rogers Brown; Several Great- Nephews and Nieces; also surviving are many cousins and close friends who Bobby loved spending time with, but are too numerous to name.

A Memorial Service will be held at Black Fox United Methodist Church and will be announced in the Banner at a later date. Please make memorials to Black Fox UMC. Donations can be sent to 2443 Old Chattanooga Pike SW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
