Bishop Stephen Smith

Obituary
Bishop Stephen E. Smith, age 61, a resident of Cleveland died Sunday, June 7, at his home in the presence of praying friends and loved ones. Brother Smith was an ordained bishop and served as General Overseer of The Church of God from 2006 until his death. Survivors include one son, Jonathan Smith (Emilee) of Aurora, Colorado; one daughter, Rebekah Horne (James) of Bessemer, Alabama and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife of 41 years, Vicki; one sister, Sue Fox of Andrews, Texas and one brother, Kenneth Smith of Mustang, Oklahoma.

The family will receive friends at The Church of God, Zion Hill (Tillie Rd) on Saturday, June 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00, with funeral services at 2:00 p.m.

Flowers may be sent to The Church of God General Headquarters (197 Tillie Road, Cleveland). Memorial contributions may be made to the family and sent to The Church of God, P.O. Box 450, Charleston, TN 37310.
