Billy Joe Williams

Billy Joe Williams, 78 passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Life Care Center of Cleveland. Bill was a lifelong resident of Birchwood, TN. He enjoyed listening to country and gospel music on the radio, watching tv, sitting on his front porch and spending time playing with his nieces and nephews. He also collected die cast muscle cars. Bill was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin F. Williams Sr. and Mary Leamon Williams.

Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory seven siblings Robert & Leola Williams, Ben Williams Jr., Joyce & John Hickman, Douglas & Linda Williams of Athens, TN, Darwin & Nancy Williams, Margaret Hewitt of Cleveland, TN and Jerry & Shirley Williams, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews he loved dearly, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland located at 2419 Georgetown Road with the Reverend Bob Schafer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home of Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM service time. Interment will follow in the McInturff Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Life Care of Cleveland and Hospice of Chattanooga for the extra special care they showed to Bill and his family.
