Billy Eugene Scoggins

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Billy Eugene Scoggins, 81, of Cleveland, Tennessee, who passed away on May 5, 2023, at Tennova Healthcare - Cleveland in Cleveland, Tennessee. Billy was born on October 2, 1941, in Cleveland, Tennessee, to W.B. and Della (Silvers) Scoggins.


Billy was a devoted husband to Karen Scoggins, and a loving father to his son, Slade Scoggins, and his daughter, Marisa Elmore and her husband Franklin. He was a loving grandfather to his grandson, Grayson Elmore, and his wife Ellen Elmore, as well as his great-grandchildren, Orion Elmore, Zeke Elmore, and Lex Elmore. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Billy was an avid fan of Nascar, dogs, and the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed spending his time following his favorite drivers and teams, and cherished the time he spent with his beloved pets. Billy was a man who lived a simple life and found joy in the little things.


Billy was preceded in death by his parents, W.B and Della Scoggins, and his sisters, Inez Graham and Katherine Roberson. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy will live on through the memories he created with his family and friends.

In accordance with Billy's wishes, no memorial service will be held. His family asks that you remember him in your own way, and keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He will be deeply missed, and his memory will forever be cherished.
