Betty Loretta Veney

Betty Loretta Veney, 84, of Charleston, Tennessee departed this life February 15, 2022. She was born February 23, 1937 in Arnett, West Virginia to the late Marie Massey and William “Bill” Massey. Loretta enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and spending time with family.

Along with her parents, Loretta is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Veney; her sons, Eugene Jessie Veney, and Edward “Bo” Beaumont Veney; her siblings, Walter Massey, Lou Bates, Isobel Zigler.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Glen Veney (Faye), Sonny Veney (Debbie), Carmen Veney (Tabitha Stevenson); her daughter, Dodie Nelms (David Spandau), her sister, Billie Jo Massey; her eleven grandchildren; her twelve great grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A service will be held at a later date.
