Betty Lane Davis

Betty Lane-Davis, 88, went home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2022, with her family by her side. Betty worked her entire career at Royal Desoto in Chattanooga, TN. She loved the Lord and without a doubt she is rejoicing in heaven. She was a member of Elkmont Baptist Church in Georgetown, TN. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. She will be sorely missed by all the lives she touched. She enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family, playing golf, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lane; parents, John and Margaret Carney; sisters, Mary Wertzberger, Barbara Short, Linda Johnson; and brother, Johnny Carney.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Davis, daughters Debbie Harwood and Sheri (Gregg) Bowman; sons Dennis (Laura) Still and Jeff (Misty) Still; stepchildren: Daryl (Darlene) Lane, Tim (Edna) Davis, Karen Martin; special daughter Christina Steele; grandchildren: Michael (Karla) Harwood, Bryan Still, Ben (Nicole) Still, Sarah Still, Zack Bowman, Camryn Bowman, Aaron (Arcia) Davis, Lyndsey (Joey) Reyes, Jennifer (Brian) Poteet, and Sarah (Kris) Kubler; 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends from 4pm until 7pm on Wednesday April 13, 2022 with a celebration of life service to follow at 7pm. All of this will be held at Elkmont Baptist Church located at 4030 Old Freewill Road, Cleveland, TN 37312.
Betty will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery on Thursday April 14th at 2:00pm.
