Betty Joyce Griffith

Betty Joyce Griffith, 91, passed away from this earthly life to be in the presence of Christ our Lord on May 8, 2023. As a member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church, she was an ardent and devoted follower of Christ. She instilled in her family and friends the importance of knowing and sharing the love and salvation gift of Jesus Christ. She served him with gladness of heart and wonderful music throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life William (Bill) Griffith. When he became ill, she was the personification of devotion to him and demonstrated what the words "in sickness and in health" of her wedding vows meant. Her love of all her family was most important, next to Jesus. Also preceding her in death were her parents, John and Tennie Horner, sister Barbara (Bobbie) Elliott and brother John Horner.

She is survived by her children, Gary and Rita Griffith, Sandra Griffith Bullard and William (Bill) and Kellie Griffith; grandchildren, Jeremy Alexander, Greta and Russell Buehrle, Heath and Kacey Griffith, Rachel Griffith, Dylan Griffith, Ryan and Amanda Bullard, Adam Kline, Airelle Griffith; great grandchildren, Lily and Walt Buehrle, Jett and Ahna Griffith; great great granddaughter, Paisley Griffith; sisters, Catherine Parker, Joann Smalley, Harriett Bietzel; brothers, Richard Horner, Paul Horner, David Horner and Dan Horner; as well as extended family members and friends.

Her life will be celebrated with a graveside service at Moores Chapel Cemetery on May 20, 2023, at 1:00pm with Reverend Richard Horner and Reverend Junior Burger officiating.

We take comfort in knowing she is at peace with the love of her life. Together again, they are singing and praising God in his presence.
