Betty Jean Mcdaniel

November 12, 1927 — December 17, 2016

Betty Jean McDaniel, 89, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN went to her Heavenly home on Saturday morning, December 17th, 2016. Betty was born in Cleveland on November 12th, 1927 a daughter of the late W. L. & Myrtle Ledford. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Center Point Baptist Church. Betty was a talented pianist and organist that served many local churches along the side of her late husband the Reverend Hubert McDaniel. Her and Hubert also were members of "The Crusaders" a gospel singing quartet for many years. Most of all, Betty will be remembered for being a loving and devoted Pastor's wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and sister-in-law.
In addition of her parents, Betty is preceded in by her loving husband the Reverend Hubert L. McDaniel whom with she shared fifty one wonderful years of marriage before his passing. She is also preceded in death by one brother William "Bill" Ledford and brother and sister in law Thomas Paul & Winona McDaniel.
Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving son and daughter in law Larry S. &Linda McDaniel, two granddaughters and their husbands Tennille & Jonathan Jobe and Tiffany & Ben Inscore, six great grandsons whom she adored Chandler McDaniel, Tyler Jobe, Trae Jobe, Cameron Inscore, Andrew Inscore and Aidan Inscore. She is also survived by one brother Donald H. Ledford, sister and brother in law James & Betty Mason and sisters in law Barbara McDaniel, Shirley Ledford and Sue Ledford, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday evening, December 20th, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Church of God located at 3522 Harrison Pike with Pastor Gary Sears officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time in the church sanctuary.
The family will assemble on Wednesday morning, December 21st, 2016 at 9:00 AM in the Sunset Memorial Gardens for the interment and committal service where Betty will laid to rest beside her beloved husband Hubert. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in Betty's memory to either the New Hope Crisis Pregnancy Center or to the Mt. Olive Ministries.
