Barry Wlkison

September 29, 1942 — April 3, 2017

Julian “Barry” Wilkison, 74, of Evensville, TN, passed away in the arms of his loving wife on April 3, 2017 at Spring City Care and Rehab. Barry was born on September 29, 1942 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late JB Wilkison Sr. and Ruth Anna Owens Wilkison. He attended school and was raised in Austin, Texas before moving to California in the early 60’s. He found his retirement home here in Evensville, Tennessee in 2008.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Esta Mae LeWallen.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 37 years, Linda; children, Michelle R. Robles and J.B. Wilkison III; step-children, Diane Renee Linehan, Van E. Martin, Sandra C. Groll, and Ryan L. Spradling; grandchildren, Justin T. Wilkison, Shayna R. Carpenter, and Anthony R. Robles; step-grandchildren, Christopher M. Warner, Jarrett R. Fagan, Tyler R. Fagan, Kailey R. Groll, and Erin N. Linehan; great-grandchildren, Aubreyannah R. Carpenter, Payge J. Sadler, and Nichelle J. Jones; step-great-grandchildren, Derek R. Fagan, Liamm S. Fagan, Travis W. Fagan, Murphy L. Vabarro, McKynzie F. Therrin, and McKenna R. Fagan; sisters, Ruth Ann Christensen of Grass Valley, CA and Louverna Rose Knotts of Avon Park, FL.
Barry loved to fish and loved to talk. He would talk to anyone about anything. He loved his 1957 Chevy Cameo pickup and watching drag races. He volunteered with the Red Cross, Sherriff Department SCAN Program, and Hope Ministries Soup Kitchen. He attended City Church in Dayton until the Alzheimer’s got the best of him.
Per Barry’s request, there will be no funeral services held here in Tennessee.
