Barbara Ruth Womac

Barbara Ruth “Mamee” Lance Womac, born April 7, 1938, age 78, passed away on May 16, 2016. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Delano, TN. She was born in Delano, TN and lived in Etowah most of her life before retiring to Crystal River, FL. She worked for Morgan Manufacturing. She was the daughter of the late Wayne Taft and Laura Davis Lance. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Jack Womac; daughter and son in law Jacqueline Marie and Jimmy Locke of Etowah; grandchildren Jackson Eugene, Amanda Paige, and Jordan Ruth; extra special friends Skip and Elizabeth Rogers and family; lifelong friend Mildred Parrott; sister Frances Whitehead of Cleveland, TN and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday May 20, 2016 at 7:30pm at Delano Baptist Church located at 144 Carolina Ave, Delano, TN 37325 with Rev. Vernon Webb, Rev Don Whitehead, and Dr. John Powers officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday at the church from 5:00pm until 7:30pm. A private graveside service will be held.
