Barbara Jean Jones

Barbara Jean Jones, 82, a resident of Englewood, TN passed away on Wednesday afternoon, December 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Cleveland, TN on January 24, 1940 a daughter of the William Lunsford. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by a daughter Jennie Poteet, infant brother Ronnie Lunsford, two brothers William Lunsford Jr. and Ray Lunsford and step mother Ida Lunsford.

Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memory five children Joyce Jones, Billy Jones, Ricky Jones, Mary Jones all of McMinn County and David Wayne Jones of Indiana, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, step son James Jones of Cleveland, several cousins she thought of as siblings, brothers Paul Henry Lunsford and William L Lunsford III, sisters Darlene Woods and Ruby Lunsford all of Cleveland, special four-legged companions “Sassy” & “Precious”, numerous other family members and a host of special friends.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 6:30 PM at the Planted in Christ Outreach Fellowship located at 317 Maple Street in Athens, TN. The family will receive friends on that Saturday evening from 5:00 PM until the 6:30 PM service time.
