Obituary


AnnaBelle Goins Gregg, 87, of Cleveland, TN passed away on October 17, 2015 following a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Ada Droke Goins and the wife of the late Clarence E. Gregg. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Jessie Cook and Geneva Dixon and brother Stanley Goins.
She retired from American Uniform with over 30 years of service and from Blythe-Bower Elementary Cafeteria with over 10 years of service.
She was a devoted member of West Cleveland Baptist Church and enjoyed being a part of the Sonshiners.
She was a huge NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching Peyton Manning and the Tennessee Vols.
She had such a kind spirit and never met a stranger. She was always laughing and full of life. She was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed by family and friends, especially her furry companion, "Kittybaby."
She is survived by her children: daughter Brenda Gregg Geren (Ray) and son Clarence Ricky Gregg (Lynn) of Cleveland, sister Grace Smith and brother G.B Goins (Rosetta) of Cleveland. Grandson Matthew R. Geren (Cammy) and great grandchildren Landon, Emmy, and Clara Geren of Jacksonville, FL. Step-grandchildren Wes Moore (Kim) and son Justin and Summer Grooms (Casey) and children Jada Hulsey and Addison Grooms of Cleveland.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday October 20, 2015 at Companion Funeral and Cremation Service located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN with Arris Cavendar, Matt Ward, and Matt Geren officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Rick Gregg, Ray Geren, Bobby Cissom, Roger Cissom, Eddie Flowers, and Steve Geren serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday October 19, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to West Cleveland Baptist Sonshiners or Hospice of Chattanooga.
