Angela Susan Gatlin Sherrill

September 8, 1963 — December 14, 2022

Angela (“Angie”) Susan Gatlin Sherrill, 59, died peacefully surrounded by family, December 14, 2022. She was born to Robert W. and Mary Sidowey Gatlin on September 8, 1963. Angie graduated from OLPH and from Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga, where she was a cheerleader, and attended both UTC, where she was also a cheerleader, and Cleveland State. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga and worked at First Federal Bank and Prudential Realty in Chattanooga before moving to Florida, where she was employed by Graboski Roofing Company as customer service manager in Boca Raton.

Angie loved life and lived it to the fullest. She also adored her family, friends, the outdoors, swimming, boating, the sun and the beach. Angie was a very strong and courageous woman. As a quadriplegic for the last 16 years of her life, Angie endured many health-related challenges and setbacks, which she was very determined to overcome, and she always bounced back more determined than ever, except this last time. She is now free of the pain and suffering that she endured during the last years of her life. Angie will be missed greatly and remembered fondly by the family and friends that loved her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William H. and Katherine Sidowey; paternal grandparents, Bill and Ruby Gatlin; special father figure, Billy R. Richardson, and her much loved golden retriever, Baby.

Sherrill of Chattanooga; mother Mary Sidowey Gatlin of Chattanooga; daughter Jennifer England Thomas of Atlanta; son Blake England (Lauren) of Chattanooga; grandchildren Ryan Thomas and Rosemary James England; brothers Samuel “Chip” Gatlin (Kelly) and Jimmy Gatlin (Karyn); niece Abbie Gatlin White (Chase); nephews Nick, Conner and Adam (Molly) Gatlin; Uncles William A.
