Alvin J. Silvers

Alvin J. Silvers, 78, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at his home. He was born in Dalton, GA on August 27, 1943, a son of the late Jessie and Myrtle Silvers.
He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for various companies until he retired. He loved working on cars and always had a project going on one of his vehicles. He loved fishing and old westerns. Alvin was a member of the Kinser Church of God. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved his family and found great joy in watching his great grandchildren play.
Other that his parents Alvin is preceded in death by his wife Judy A. Silvers and his brother Jerry Silvers. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter Joanie Robinson and her husband Jody, son Tony Silvers and his wife Daina, his son and daughter in love Travis and Allison Earls, two grandchildren, Ethan Robinson and Erin Silvers, four great grandchildren, Eli, Nova, Bria and Nollie Robinson as well as numerous extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Kinser Church of God, 141 Kinser Rd SE, Cleveland TN, 37323. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service that will take place at the church on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Guinn Green and his nephew Rev. Jerome Silvers officiating. The Internment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Donnie Gaines, Tony Silvers, Jody Robinson, Jerome Silvers and Ethan Robinson as pallbearers.
