Alma V. Crye

Obituary

Alma V. Crye, 86, of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 27, 2014. She was born on August 24, 1927 to the late Columbus and Mittie Dixon. She was a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area and a member of Community Hall Church for 65 years. She enjoyed flowers and making ceramic dolls, also. Above all things, however, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that loved her family more than anything in the world.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years George J. Crye, infant daughter Linda Crye, and grandson Jeremy Crye.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory six children: Thomas Crye, Robbie Crye, Deborah Allen, Sandy Munk, George Crye, and Tina Richmond; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Dorothy Brackett and Sue Bishop. In addition to these, she leaves behind many extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 31, 2014 at 5:00pm at Community Hall Church located at 1305 6th Street NE, Cleveland, TN 37311. Pastor Jennie Cissom will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm-5:00pm at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Chad Crye, Dusty Davis, Jackson Crowder, Bobby Morrow, Zachary McCoy, and Casey Hill serving as pallbearers.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Alma or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Crye family with these arrangements.
