Winston Allan "Bud" Holcomb

September 12, 1932 — July 17, 2016

Winston Allan “Bud” Holcomb, 83, of Cleveland passed away on July 17, 2016. Bud was born in Hamilton County on September 12, 1932. He served in the United States Air Force before starting a career in the aerospace industry; including the Apollo moon program in central Florida. He later worked with Gillman paper and ITT Rayonier on Amelia Island before returning to Tennessee in 1980. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was an avid sportsman.

He was preceded in death by his father Leon “Lucky” Holcomb and his wife Mattie Lou Holcomb of Ringgold, GA, and his mother Lennie Thomas Hale of Cleveland. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Holcomb and his son Brian Holcomb and wife Diane of Woodstock, Georgia; his children by marriage are Tami Ward of Oklahoma, and Gilbert Arms of Cleveland. He has an adopted daughter Celeste Reeder St. Clair. His grandchildren are Ashley Ward of Chattanooga and Breelee Arms of Cleveland. His beloved cousin Margie (Holcomb) Walker lives in Decatur, GA with her husband Harry.

The family will not have any public services at this time. They request that memorials be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
