Virgil Lee Richey

Virgil Lee Richey, 58 of Englewood, TN went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 16, 2017. He was born in Raymond, WA. Virgil was a lovable guy who never met a stranger, he loved people, being outdoors, and gardening.
Virgil is proceeded in death by his father, Lonnie Richey; maternal grandparents, James and Viola Roberts; fraternal grandparents, Lonnie and Ella Richey.
Left to cherish Virgil’s memory, loving mother, Mildred Richey, six siblings, Linda (Tony) Jackson of Athens, TN, Ronnie Richey of Englewood, TN, Donnie Richey of Englewood, TN, Bonnie Barnett of Calhoun, TN, Viella Matthews of Greenback, TN, Joyce (Terry) Young of Englewood, TN. Six nieces and nephews, Jennifer Cornelius, Cody Cook, Randy Cook, Kayla Webb, Samantha Young, Alyssa Matthews. Three great nephews, Brently Cook, Blake Webb, Cole Cornelius. Several extended family members and special friends also survive.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Companion Funeral Home of Athens with Rev. Jimmy Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday prior to service. The family and friends will gather on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Ebenezer Cemetery located in Monroe County at 11:00 AM for the graveside service with Ronnie Richey, Donnie Richey, Terry Young, Matt Cornelius, Cody Cook, and Tony Jackson serving as Pallbearers; one honorary pallbearers John Webb.
