Tommy Wayne Gentry

Tommy Wayne Gentry, 52, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday morning, May 23, 2018. He enjoyed working on cars, but more than anything he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the man with working hand with a smooth touch to soothe a child’s soul. Tommy was known for being a cheerful giver and always doing whatever it took to help those around him. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Joan Myers, and step-mother, Kathleen Reynolds.
Tommy leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 32 years, Tammy Gentry; children, Tamara Rogers and Tia Scoggins; his beloved grandchildren, David Gentry, Atlas Scoggins, and Ember Scoggins; father, Charles Wayne Gentry; siblings, Darris Gentry (Mike), Kim Nipper (Scott), and Melissa Payne (Mitchell); nieces & nephew, Kyra Nipper, Macy Nipper, and Jonathon Mantooth.
A celebration of life funeral service will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday May 26, 2018 at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Pastor Todd Collins officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday night, May 25, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm as well as from 1:00pm until the 2:00pm service time on Saturday, both at the funeral home.
Following the service, Tommy will be laid to rest in the Benton Memorial Gardens, located at 192 Patty Road, Benton, TN 37307
Tommy asked that everyone would please wear blue jeans to his funeral and visitation.
