Raymond Lee Pierce

July 21, 1949 — December 3, 2016

Raymond Lee Pierce, 67, a longtime resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Saturday morning, December 3rd, 2016 at home with loved ones. He was born in Rochester, NY on July 21st of 1949 the only son of Kenneth & Irene Pierce. He was the owner of Color Concepts, Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN prior to relocating his family to Cleveland, TN, where he was the Quality Manager at CPQ and later became Plant Manager at Mirror Image. In 2004, Ray and his wife, Shirley, opened his second business, Pierce Digital.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his eldest son, Christopher Gerald Rollins.

Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory and legacy, his loving wife of thirty-three years, Shirley Pierce, and their 9 children: Pamela Vanderlinden and her husband Timothy, Timothy Odell and his wife Cheryl, Sheryl May and her husband Jason, Gerald “Scott” Rollins and his wife Stephanie, Jeffrey Pierce and his wife Alissa, Joshua Rollins and his wife Lacy, Jason Rollins and his wife Mecalah, Matthew Pierce and his wife Jillin, and Karissa Dow and her husband Justin. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, with one on the way: Kalib Vanderlinden, Korbin Vanderlinden (Samantha), Ahnna Odell, Timothy Odell, Emeline Odell, Katelyn Anderson, Daymie May, Olivia Rollins, Zoe Rollins, A.J. Pierce, Delia Pierce, Madison Pierce, Makenzey Pierce, Destiny Rollins, Ella Rollins, Sadee Pierce, David Pierce. Along with 1 great-grandchild, Raven, with another on the way. He is survived by his only sister, Linda Pierce, a resident of Cleveland, TN.

A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday, December 6th, 2016, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the Dixon Center at North Cleveland Church of God, located at 335 11th St. NE in Cleveland, TN with Pastors Mark Williams and Cy Harris officiating. The family will receive friends for viewing from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Dixon Center prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, Ray’s wishes are that memorial donations be made in Ray’s memory to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital’s Cancer Unit to help families of children who are battling cancer.
