Judy Massengale

Judy Massengale, 78, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Monday August 14, 2017. Judy was employed at the Bradley County Circuit Court Clerk's office as a bookkeeper for 24 years and retired in 1999 as head bookkeeper for the court. Judy was an active member of Senior Circle Travel Club, where she served as a board member over the years in many capacities. Judy and her late husband Johnny enjoyed traveling extensively. Judy loved hats, and one of her last requests was that her family and closest friends wear one of her hats at the service.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Gary Massengale Sr.; son, John Gary Massengale Jr.; grandson, Justin Owen Massengale; parents, James and Lenora Coffey; siblings, Mary Ann Burnham (Jim), Jim Coffey (Brenda), and Bill Coffey (Willa Mae).
Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Marty Massengale, of Chattanooga, TN/ Austin, TX; brother, Robert Coffey (Ann); as well as several nieces, nephews, special friends, and neighbors.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday August 19, 2017 in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 188 Old Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37312
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to either The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, or the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Judy's memory.
