Janet Lynn Spurling

Janet Lynn Spurling, 60, a resident of Philadelphia, TN passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at UT Medical Center. She was born on October 31, 1957 in Paris France. She loved animals especially horses.

She is preceded in death by her mother Willie Mae Dockery Tathan and one son Marcus Spurling Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Marcus “M.L.” Spurling, one daughter Tracy Nation, father Charles Tathan, brother Charles Tathan Jr., three grandchildren Shyann, Savannah, Shelby and Nation, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at 6:00 PM in chapel of Companion Funeral Home of Athens located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN . The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 4:00 PM until the 6:00 PM service time.
