Gladys Edna Barker

Gladys Edna Barker, 83, a resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at a local healthcare facility. She was a member of North Cleveland Church of God as well as the Peacemakers. Gladys served alongside her husband of 60 years, Rev. Paul F. Barker in ministry. She loved entertaining, hosting missionaries, as well as cooking. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul F. Barker; parents, Grady Clifton Hamby and Adelle Turner Hamby; along with 5 sisters.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Paulette (Roney) Delaney, Debbie (Rev. Tim) Burdashaw, and Beth (Jason) Forbus; grandchildren, Philip (Alisha) Anderson, John-Paul (Allison) Burdashaw, Kara (Dustin) Randolph, Becky Sue Burdashaw, Bethany Anderson, and Lexie Forbus; great grandchildren, Brianna Anderson, Kinsley Burdashaw, Parker Randolph, Sophia Anderson, Hudson Burdashaw, Abram Burdashaw; one sister Esther "Bobbie" Parrish of Tampa, FL, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 12-2pm at North Cleveland Church of God (Dixon Chapel). There will be a celebration of life service immediately following the visitation in the Dixon Chapel at 2pm. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Garden. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mitchell Maloney, Rev. Mark Williams, and Rev. Cy Harris.
